MISSION
ImageRec.com uses computer science to solve dataset creation and information gathering problems. When doing AI and Machine Learning tasks in general, one of the greatest challenges is building a substantial training dataset. For image recognition/data classification tasks ImageRec.com showcases a framework created by the founder which allows a user to gather and clean thousands of images creating useful datasets. The framework also comes with a basic Convolutional Neural Network to train models right out the box for basic testing.
About the Founder
My name is Donovan Sproule and I am a student at University of California, Santa Cruz. Throughout my life I have always seen computer science as a tool to solve problems that may be more difficult otherwise. So as a freshman in college, when I read a book and taught myself about neural networks for the first time I quickly realized what I would have to do. It was very apparent to me that building a good dataset would be a problem because I lacked resources that many companies have. It would be difficult for me to attempt to crowdsource thousands of images for various projects I would like to do in the future. That is why I created this framework, and then created this page to showcase it and make it available to the public. As of right now the imageRec framework is built to generate image recognition models that can be deployed right out of the box and highly versatile. As time continues I intend to expand this to work with different types of information and ML applications.
